Horror Sub-Genre Preferences (Women)
We conducted a survey in our class and it came out conclusively showing that women preferred the sub-genre of psychological horror, this was mainly due to the graphic qualities of gory and action horror. The least popular preference was gory horror, this could be because it is mainly marked towards a male audience.
Horror Sub-Genre Preferences (Men)
When conducting our survey half of the men in our class gave the answer of gory horror, this suggests that as gory horrors are marketed towards men, the marketing has been successful. The second most popular sub-genre for men was action horror, they said that this was because they had been more exposed to this sub-gnere than that of psychological horror.
